New Album and Other News!

Hello friends ~ I have some exciting news to share… Many Moons now has an album on Spotify (also Apple Music, and everywhere else)! Cerulean Dreams was recorded in Lviv a few months ago on a flute I made from Ukrainian white poplar. It’s a calm meditative album, so if you feel the calling for some downtime, I recommend listening. I’m really happy with this first release, and so far the feedback I’ve received has been amazing. I feel inspired to make more music, and already have some new tracks in the works! Please listen when you have a chance, and be sure to follow along. Every stream counts and helps to promote the music. I hope you enjoy!

FROM THE WORKSHOP ~

The is a shakuhachi branch flute made from Maple in the key of C#. It has a tigers eye inlay and a snake carving.

I had to share a closer shot of the snake and tigers eye inlay. I’m in love with this instrument. I think it’s one of my favorites that I’ve ever made.

This is a four hole bamboo shakuhachi (non-root end) in Bb. This instrument has a deep and meditative tone.

This special Native American style flute (key of E) was made from a branch of an amur cork tree. This tree is obviously not native to my region, but was growing in a local park. Sadly it fell, but I was able to gather a few branches and give them a new life. The block was made by the great Ukrainian ceramic artists Velika Bogaiha.

I don’t know exactly what kind of wood this Native American style flute is made from, but I gathered the branch while on a trip deep in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains of Ukraine. It’s in the key of E. The sound is amazing.
